Appearances and other stuff
KubeCon 2026
Johan van Amersfoort and I were at KubeCon Amsterdam with our robot dog Q9. We showed him off on the show floor and made guest appearances at some of the side events.
- Interview with the Lead Dev Advocate at RedHat
- A recap on sovereignity with my colleauge Maxime Colomès
KubeCon 2026 - RedHat OpenShift Commons
I was on stage with Johan van Amersfoort to show our robotic dog Q9 and its AI powered tricks.
Rancher Day
We also made a really quick appearance on Rancher Day with Q9.
VMUG Connect 2026
This was a fun one. First time I got to bring Q9 the Dog on stage with me and do some demos! Topic of this talk is training models on private AI infrastructure and seeing the models at work on an edge device and in the on-premises data center.
ITQon 2024 and 2025
My own employer organizes this pretty amazing event aimed at internal knowledge sharing and in 2024 I took the opportunity to talk about the softer side of software development and what teams can do to ensure they are building the right thing, the right way, for the right people. My 2025 session was about vibecoding with some nice examples on what (not) to do.
Enterprise DevOps TechCon 2023
This was the first edition of the Enterprise DevOps TechCon and I gave a talk about improving how software is made. It involved things like balanced team approach and variouspractices that sit around software development and can boost its impact.
VMUGNL 2023
Chistiaan Roeleveld and me did a talk about how an organization can succeed with better development and platform practices at the Dutch VMWare User Group event. Christiaan shared his experience with platform engineering and I took a software development angle. Sadly there's no recording of it.
